Understanding your story in a new way

The way we think about our life and experiences often shapes how we see ourselves and what we believe is possible. Sometimes people begin to see themselves through mistakes, difficult experiences, or negative beliefs. Narrative Therapy helps people step back, look at their story from a different perspective, and recognize their strengths, growth, and resilience.

Instead of focusing on what is wrong, Narrative Therapy focuses on understanding your experiences, your values, and the kind of story you want to move toward in the future. This approach often helps people feel more confident, more hopeful, and more in control of their direction in life.

Narrative Therapy is a collaborative process where clients are seen as the expert of their own life. At PPFC, we help clients explore their experiences, recognize their strengths, and begin to see themselves in a more balanced and compassionate way, especially during the teen and young adult years when many people are still figuring out who they are and who they want to become.

Where to Begin

Narrative Therapy begins with talking about your experiences, how you see yourself, and what you would like to feel different in your life moving forward. From there, your therapist will help you begin to reshape the way you see your story and your strengths.
